Thinking outside the box

It is a bad thing, if you're a cat.

Last night I was about to tuck NiiceDuude into bed (the bed I only sleep in when he is here; when I'm home alone I sleep on the couch so I can watch TV), and turned down the covers to reveal wet spots on the sheets, comforter and mattress.

Yup, one of my kitties (I'm guessing Rozita) used the bed for a litter box (probably during my three-week power outage when I was remiss about cleaning the boxes -- hard to see them in the dark!). And because it's been about two months since NiiceDuude stayed here, I didn't have occasion to notice.

He slept on the couch. I slept on the living room floor.

Bedding has been washed, and mattress is marinating in PetZyme -- a miracle stain and odor removal product.

Speaking of cats, Jake turned me on to a great site: http://icanhascheezburger.com -- lots of cute kitty and other animal pictures. Warning: It is addictive. And you might find yourself speaking/writing in its, um, unique dialect.
